Made in Canada

Phil Lester

What is your favourite on-the-go snack?

When I have it available (notary often) moose jerky is by far my favourite on the go snack!

Where is your Hometown?

I am originally from a small town outside of Ottawa called Carleton Place.

What is your go-to vice to clear your head?

Climbing or walking my dogs depending on weather and where I am.

What's something on the bucket list that you haven't checked off the list yet?

I have a lot of things I haven't checked off the bucket list just yet but one or two that are up the top would be skiing spines in Alaska or skiing fjords in Norway.

What does Human Powered Adventures mean to you?

Get out there and get it done, the right way! Appreciate the opportunities you are provided with.

What is your Primary Occupation?

I currently work on the flood recovery crew for Alberta Parks, Peterlougheed Provincial Park.

Who Inspires You & 1 Reason Why?

Anyone who gets outside and pushes themselves outside their comfort zone.

One thing you can't leave home without?

My Camera.

Would you rather be too hot or too cold?

Too cold because it makes you move more!

Why Westcomb?

I bought a Westcomb eVent jacket as my first soft-shell jacket when I first started climbing. Since then I have always been interested with Westcomb and love the fact that it is all still made here in Canada.

What is your go-to piece of Westcomb gear?

Go to piece of Westcomb gear is the Sitka hoody, it is super warm super light and packs down to nothing!

Thanks Phil!
