Westcomb – a symbiotic fusion of a user inspired line and a state-of-the-art Canadian technical apparel manufacturing facility.
Since we can remember we have been playing in the Canadian mountains: skiing, snowboarding, climbing, paragliding, hiking and just having a great time. After many years of working in the technical outdoor apparel industry we found that there was something missing. So we wanted to use our experience to create a high quality line based on functionality without compromising fit and style. Because lets face it, when you come off that mountain or trail you’ll probably want to hit the pub and there’s no reason to show up in bright spandex tights.
To reach our goal to design a line with both uncompromising technical ability and style, we realized we needed to trust and empower the user with our design. So we went to work, from the Whistler chair lift to the Cain hut in the Bugaboos asking our friends - guides, industry professionals and end users -what their ultimate garment would be. We found most of them had a very defined vision of what works and what doesn’t. It was amazing to hear how often the words great fabric, nice shape, simple and no gimmick functionality came up.
Based on this feedback, and further driven by the revolutionary materials of the industry leaders - Malden Mills, Schoeller, Pontetorto and YKK - a few great ideas started to develop. And from all that inspiration emerged a highly technical and beautiful line, allowing Westcomb to bring you TRUE FORM.
