Carly Schroeder

What is your favourite on-the-go snack?

I love mamma chia chia squeezes, Guayaki Yerba mate and trail mix.

Where is your Hometown?

Valparaiso Indiana

What is your go-to vice to clear your head?

Exercising. Going for a run, hike, walk, surf, climb... Doing anything outdoors really.

What's something on the bucket list that you haven't checked off the list yet?

I want to swim with whale sharks!

What does Human Powered Adventures mean to you?

It means that you can create your own outdoor experience. Each individual has the opportunity to adventure powered by their own passion and navigated by their unique interests. You can go have a human powered adventure doing anything from nature walking to the more extreme activities. All have one thing in common. A human enjoying nature.

What is your Primary Occupation?

I'm an actress.

Who Inspires You & 1 Reason Why?

My mom and dad inspire and influence me the most. My mom is a school teacher saving the world one child at a time. My dad is ex special forces and taught me at an early age to love appreciate and respect nature.

One thing you can't leave home without?

A hat. I always have a SnapBack on me. Haha.

Would you rather be too hot or too cold?

I'd rather be too cold. At least then I can run and warm up.

Why Westcomb?

Westcomb has unparalleled quality. I've never owned such an incredible rain jacket/windbreaker. It's an awesome color, feminine cut, it's light and breathable.

It's important to me to have gear that I can rely on as most of my human powered adventures tend to be extreme. I know I can rely on Westcomb to keep me warm, the rain off my back and looking good.

What is your go-to piece of Westcomb gear?

I love the dry shell windbreaker jacket. It seriously goes with me everywhere. It's amazingly light but kept me safe in the crazy ever changing whether in Patagonia. It's breathable too which is necessary when backpacking in the elements.

Thanks Carly!
